
Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister ends his official visit to Antigua and Barbuda
Saint John's, November 13: Today Cuba's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, ended his official visit to Antigua and Barbuda, during which he met with prominent political figures and continued the political dialogue between the two countries. He also met with our collaborators in the health sector, Cuban residents and members of the solidarity movement with Cuba.
During his stay in that sister nation, the Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister held talks with the Governor General, His Excellency Rodney Williams; the Acting Prime Minister and Attorney General, Honorable Steadroy Benjamin; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Trade, Honorable Everly Paul Chet Greene, and the Minister of Health, Honorable Molwyn Joseph. He also had the opportunity to speak with the top representatives of the United Progressive Party (UPP), former Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer; the leader of the opposition in Parliament, Jamale Pringle and the leader of the UPP party, Harold Lovell.
This year, diplomatic relations between Cuba and Antigua and Barbuda are celebrating their 25th anniversary. The visit made it possible to ratify the interest of both governments in continuing to deepen their bilateral ties and the links of cooperation and solidarity.
The visit also contributed to strengthening the fraternal ties between Cuba and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
