1997-2002: Third Secretary in charge of disarmament and other political issues on the UN agenda, Division of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.
2002-2006: Second Secretary of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the UN and other international organizations based in Geneva, Switzerland.
2006-2008: First Secretary in charge of disarmament and other political issues on the UN agenda, Division of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.
2008-2009: Lead Specialist at the Division of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.
2009-2011: Deputy Director of Political Affairs, Division of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.
2011-2015: Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations.
