CUBA EXPRESSES FULL SOLIDARITY AND UNRESTRICTED SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT MADURO AND THE BOLIVARIAN AND CHAVIST REVOLUTION

The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba energetically condemns the attack made against the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro Moros on Saturday, 4 August, during a military parade in Caracas on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Bolivarian National Guard. 

Declaration by the Revolutionary Government: Cuba condemns new Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people

The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba expresses its most energetic condemnation of the criminal repression by the Israeli army against the defenceless Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 52 persons and leaving over 2400 wounded. This occurrence constitutes yet another serious and flagrant violation of the UN Charter and International Humanitarian Law and it is a new violation against the Palestinian people.

The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba expresses its strongest condemnation of the new attack by the United States and some of its allies against military and civilian facilities in the Syrian Arab Republic on the evening of this April 13th, under the pretext of the alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians by the Syrian Government.

On June 16, 2017, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech full of hostile anti-Cuban rhetoric reminiscent of the times of open confrontation with our country in a Miami theater. He announced his government’s Cuba policy, which rolls back the progress achieved over the last two years since December 17, 2014, when Presidents Raúl Castro and Barack Obama announced the decision to re-establish diplomatic relations and engage in a process towards the normalization of bilateral relations.

The revolutionary government of the Republic of Cuba has repeatedly condemned the parliamentary/judicial coup d'état in Brazil, disguised as legal, which has been in the making for months. Today saw a fundamental step towards realization of the aims of the coup plotters: a majority of the Brazilian senators have decided to continue the political trial proceedings against Brazil's legitimately-elected president, Dilma Rousseff, and thereby "temporarily" remove her from office for up to 180 days, during which time the senate must determine, by a two-thirds majority of its members, her definitive dismissal.

The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba has learnt of the arbitrary and aggressive Executive Order issued by the President of the United States against the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which declares the country a threat to its national security, in reprisal for the measures adopted by Venezuela in defense of its sovereignty against the interventionist actions of the U.S. Congress and governmental authorities.

The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba has learned about the arbitrary and aggressive Executive Order issued by the President of the United States against the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, describing this country as a threat to its national security, in reprisal for measures adopted in defense of its sovereignty in the face of acts of interference by US government authorities and congress. 

Cuba Declares National and Official Mourning

 

The Council of State of the Republic of Cuba has declared, upon the death of comrade Hugo Chavez Frias, president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the following: 
First: To declare Official Mourning beginning on March, 6:00am, until March 7, 12:00 midnight 
Second: To declare National Mourning during March 8th. 
During the official mourning, the Cuban flag will be flown half-staff in public buildings and military institutions. 
During the national mourning, all cultural activities will be suspended. 
 

Cuban Government sends messages of condolences to Bahamas, Canada, the United States, Haiti and Jamaica, over Hurricane “Sandy”

On Wednesday, October 31st, the Government of the Republic of Cuba sent messages of condolences to the Governments of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Canada, the United States of America, the Republic of Haiti and Jamaica, over the loss of human lives and significant material damage caused by hurricane “Sandy”.
