“The current scenario caused by the COVID-19 pandemic requires us to take urgent actions to face the major challenge of sustainable and resilient recovery of our economies, and especially o f the production system and the fight against poverty and inequality”, stated today Elba Rosa Pérez Montoya, Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, at the high-level dialogue on desertification, land degradation and drought, which was held in a virtual format at the United Nations.

New York, 2 June 2021.- Gladys María Bejerano Portela, Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba, participated virtually today at the Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly against Corruption. The high-ranking Cuban official stated that corruption is a persistent global phenomenon that requires broad international cooperation to mitigate its effects.
