Cuba and Slovakia call for strengthening cooperation

Cuba's and Slovakia's representatives highlighted on Monday the good state of bilateral relations and called for the strengthening of collaboration and exchange between them. During a meeting in Bratislava, Cuba's ambassador Yamila Pita and Slovakia's Minister of Finance, Eduard Heger discussed issues of common interest. They expressed the will of both sides to consolidate ties between the two nations.

The United Nations Security Council virtually discussed on wednesday the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.  In a speech submitted to the Council, Cuba denounced the ongoing occupation of the Palestinian territory by Israel, its annexation policies, the increase of illegal and colonizing practices and measures, all in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Congo's and Cuba's scientists exchange on Covid-19 disease

Scientists from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Cuba held a fruitful exchange of experiences on the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. In statements to Prensa Latina, Cuba's ambassador in DRC, Eva Yelina Silva, set out that the talks via videoconference have lasted for over three hours in a cooperative and cordial environment. The talks addressed the progress of research in the DRC to adopt a therapeutic scheme for treating the disease, highlighted the diplomat, appreciating the interest of Congolese professionals in learning about Cuba's practices in tackling the epidemic.
