Cuba favors ethical approach to artificial intelligence at UNESCO


Cuban Permanent Delegate at UNESCO Yahima Esquivel on Tuesday expressed her country's support for artificial intelligence development from an ethical perspective. When speaking at a virtual forum to tackle down on artificial intelligence challenges, Yahima Esquivel harped on the significance that this science highlights the value of solidarity and life in harmony.

Cuba among the seven countries in Latin America that achieve gender parity in scientific research 


Cuba and six other Latin American countries have achieved gender parity in scientific research, according to the report Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in Latin America and the Caribbean prepared by UNESCO. The document, jointly prepared by the United Nations Organization for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and UNESCO's Regional Office for Science in Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighted that seven nations in the region, including Cuba.

Angola, Cuba appreciate relations of sisterhood and cooperation

Cuban and Angolan representatives addressed on Monday the historic ties of sisterhood and cooperation on the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both States. The summary of which was in charge of Ambassador Esther Armenteros, who distinguished the common roots since colonial times and the early formalization of diplomatic ties, just four days after the proclamation of the independence of Angola, on November 15, 1975.
