
Vietnam: Children invited to drawing contest on friendship with Cuba
Hanoi, Sep 15, 2020.- 'Vietnam-Cuba, deep solidarity' will be the subject of a drawing to which Vietnamese children were summoned to participate today, in the year in which both countries celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
Promoted by the Ho Chi Minh Union of Young Communists (UJC-HCM), the initiative will be replicated in the island's schools, also among children between six and 15 years old with certain aptitudes for this art.
Without technical restrictions, forms of expression or colors, the works must reflect the exemplary nature of the historical ties between the two nations and will be admitted until October 31. The winners will be announced a few days later.
As the Cuban ambassador here, Lianys Torres, noted in the launching ceremony, the call was fought in the most appropriate place: the Vietnam-Cuba primary school, and in front of dozens of her students who have already made the first strokes of their drawings.
'A great thinker of my homeland, José Martí, spoke to Cuban children about Vietnam, about the value of the Vietnamese. That great man also said that we must work for children, because they are the hope of the world,' said the diplomat. to the little ones.

The ambassador stressed that the future of such a beautiful friendship is in the classroom and reiterated Cuba's commitment to maintain efforts to preserve this treasure in the hearts of the little ones, so that when they grow up they continue to put their talent and commitment in order to preserve it. .
The ceremony to launch the convocation was attended by Nguyen Ngoc Luong, secretary of the Central Committee of the UJC-HCM, and officials from the Foreign Relations departments of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Americas of the Foreign Ministry.
