TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO,  August 14, 2018.- The headquarters of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Trinidad and Tobago served as the venue for an emotional ceremony in honour of the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of his birth.

BARBADOS, August 2, 2018.-  When Commander in Chief Fidel Castro participated in the March for Emancipation Day on August 1, 1998, accompanied by then prime minister Owen Arthur, he closed his fiery speech with the following words: "To our brothers from the Caribbean and from Barbados, we tell you that Barbados and the Caribbean can count with Cuba as a tree counts with the sap that flows through his veins", and twenty years later the Cuban ambassador, Francisco Fernández, resumed those words to thank the invitation by the Pan-Africanist movement to share the celebration of the date.

Filipino friends pays homage to the leader of the Cuban revolution

PHILIPPINES, April 12, 2018.- The cultural and friendship association with Cuba, PHILCUBA, sponsored the launch of a book entitled "Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution" that reflects the reflections of Dr Francisco Nemenzo, former rector of the University of the Philippines and president of PHILCUBA and Mamiel Lurinaria, member of that organization on the Cuban revolutionary process and its significance in the struggles for justice of the progressive forces of the world.

Dublin, January 16, 2018. Motivated to expand their knowledge about Cuba and the figure of Fidel Castro Ruz, a representation of students of the St Clares Comprehensive School, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim, led by Professor Brendan Greene, visited the Embassy of Cuba in Ireland.

Grant, members of the José Martí Association of young graduates in Cuba headed by Amadou Beyai, as well as other friends of the island in The Gambia, gathered at the Cuban embassy to pay tribute to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro in his first demise anniversary. EGYPT, November 27, 2017. - In the context of the first anniversary of the decease of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the photo exhibition "Fidel Castro and the Revolution" was inaugurated at the premises of the Egyptian Center for International Cultural Cooperation. The photo chosen to head the exhibition was the one of meeting between the former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser, and Fidel in New York, in 1960.

Commitment to the legacy of Fidel in Guyana

GUYANA, November 25, 2017.- Cubans and Guyanese paid tribute of remembrance to the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution on the first anniversary of his physical disappearance in the historic Umana Yana center that Fidel visited in 1973.

As part of the homage program, the ambassadors of Cuba and Venezuela in Guyana, Julio César González Marchante and Reina Díaz Arratia, symbolically placed a whreath representing the Cuban flag under an image of Fidel; a minute of silence was observed and the documentary "Fidel is Fidel" by Cuban filmmaker Roberto Chile was presented.
